Been a while since I made a journal entry haha.
Basically I first joined deviantART when I had just started Fakemon spriting. I was relatively new at it, but was incredibly excited and proceeded to post literally every sprite I'd done within two days. Eventually, upon seeing other people creating Fakedexes I decided to create my own.
Over time, I gradually improved my spriting skills and revamping just about every single Fakemon in the Fakedex, also adding in many others including ones created from requests from some of my Watchers.
I specialized in spriting for quite a while, but eventually I decided I wanted to focus on more digital art. For a while I continued to draw Fakemon art, often entering competitions in order to try to get my name out there as well as to test my creativity. One of my favourites I made was my Mewthree, which ultimately influenced part of my design for my own Fakemon Omegalum.
After about a year and a bit focusing almost entirely on Fakemon, I decided I wanted to try drawing artwork from other franchises to try and develop my style. One of the things I decided to do in the wake of Super Smash Bros 4's announcement was to fill in a wishlist meme for the characters I wanted in the game. By doing this, it enabled me to try different art styles and draw characters far different to the Fakemon I drew previously.
After doing that, I was inactive for a little while due to how busy Uni was. However, I decided to start up a weekly blog recapping the SSB4 daily pictures uploaded to Miiverse by Masahiro Sakurai as a way to at least keep some deviations flowing in. It also helped me refresh my HTML and writing skills, which proved helpful for Uni.

Miiverse quote: Pic of the day. Right back atcha! (everyone can do this)
Monday's picture featured Luigi throwing Megaman's Metal Blade right back at him. The ability to do this had previously been demonstrated in the Developer's Direct from E3, however it had not yet been seen as a picture of the day.

Miiverse quote: Pic of the day. Out of the blue, here's a new stage--the Pyrosphere from Metroid: Other M! An enemy from Samus's past may appear at any second…
Tuesday's picture featured the debut of a new stage from Metroid: Other M called Pyrosphere. This area is where Ridley is encountered during that game, and the Miiverse comment heavily implies that he
When I had the chance, I decided to set myself the challenge to draw all of the currently announced SSB4 newcomers before going back to Uni, which I ultimately managed to do. It helped me become much better at drawing human shaped characters. Out of all of the ones I drew, Rosalina & Luma is my favourite as it turned out the best in my opinion, but I was quite happy with how the rest turned out. I'll be continuing to draw the rest of the newcomers as they're announced.
As far as improving my art in the future, I do plan to buy a graphics tablet quite soon and am hoping to eventually start doing some commissions. DeviantART has really helped me improve my art over the last two and a half years from being able to receive feedback and compare my artwork to the art of others, and I hope to continue improving and uploading to deviantART for the foreseeable future!
